Can I get a \o/ hoooo?

After sorting through almost 400 notecards, the correct entries were counted at 255. All of those 255 correct entries were placed in the virtual hat and 3 lucky winners were chosen at random. They are Macey Mandala (1st), SweetVicky Voom (2nd), and Goti Soderstrom (3rd).  Congratulations to you all, and have fun shopping!

We had a great time running this contest. A big THANK YOU goes out to all the designers who participated.  If you’re a designer and are interested in participating in future webQuests, contact GM Nikolaidis or Barbara Nicholls.

webQuest starts May 1st!

How would you like to win a shopping spree to your favorite store? Yes, that would be pretty great. Now imagine that x10.  Yes, 10 shops!  You could win some fancy loot from 10 awesome shops!  And just think how much MORE fun it is to shop than it is to follow crowds from one laggy location to another chasing freebies that may or may not be any good.

Did I say “awesome shops”?  Well, yes in fact I did.  How about these:   Artilleri, Courtisane, EarthStones, LeeZu!, LionSkins, MALT Fashions, MudHoney Designs, Spork, SySy Designs, and Zaara.  See? I told you they were awesome.

Sporks Around the World contest winners

Music Hyun won 1st place with her reflective water Spork photo. Music will receive 5000 L cash and a 1000 L gift card for Spork. Music will also be the feature model for our next release. She will be featured in all advertising for the new release and will be in the store poster.

Second place goes to Grace Staryk for her awesome Greenies shot. Grace will receive 1000 L cash and a 1000 L gift card for Spork.

Third place is awarded to Alessa Glas for her Evening in Paris shot. Alessa will receive 500 L cash and a 1000 L gift card.

We would like to thank everyone who entered the contest.

Sporks Around The World – photo contest

RULES

Come to our main SPORK location and pick up a SPORK contest crate. The contest crate will include a Spork, a LM and a notecard to help you with the contest. Once you grab your contest crate, put on your favorite Spork outfit and let the games begin!

TRAVEL! Go to your favorite place in SL and take a photo of yourself wearing Spork clothing. The Spork from the contest crate MUST be incorporated into the photo. The Spork may be modified, resized, made a different color, etc. Be inventive! But keep it clean! Any unsavory uses of the Spork will be eliminated immediately from the contest. The most inventive photo wins! Have fun with it.

PRIZES

FIRST PLACE will win a GRAND PRIZE of 5000 L CASH, a 1000 L gift card AND will model the latest clothing release in a poster, vendors and any advertising done for the new release! The photo can be submitted raw or you’re welcome to use photoshop or any other program to touch it up. We’re looking for originality here so it doesn’t have to be a professional photo. It just has to be original and inventive.

SECOND PLACE will receive 1000 L CASH and a 1000 L gift card for Spork.

THIRD PLACE will receive 500 L CASH and a 1000 L gift card.

So grab your contest crate at the store right next to the contest poster, get Sporkified and start taking photos!

To enter, create a notecard and include your name and the location of your shoot. Include your full perm photo in the notecard (one photo per entry) and submit your entry to Barbara Nicholls. REMEMBER TO USE THE SPORK FROM YOUR CONTEST CRATE IN THE PHOTO!

The contest will run from February 1st to February 14th. No entries will be accepted after 8:00 pm on February 14th. Winners will be announced on Monday, February 16th.
