Sporks Around The World – photo contest

RULES

Come to our main SPORK location and pick up a SPORK contest crate. The contest crate will include a Spork, a LM and a notecard to help you with the contest. Once you grab your contest crate, put on your favorite Spork outfit and let the games begin!

TRAVEL! Go to your favorite place in SL and take a photo of yourself wearing Spork clothing. The Spork from the contest crate MUST be incorporated into the photo. The Spork may be modified, resized, made a different color, etc. Be inventive! But keep it clean! Any unsavory uses of the Spork will be eliminated immediately from the contest. The most inventive photo wins! Have fun with it.

PRIZES

FIRST PLACE will win a GRAND PRIZE of 5000 L CASH, a 1000 L gift card AND will model the latest clothing release in a poster, vendors and any advertising done for the new release! The photo can be submitted raw or you’re welcome to use photoshop or any other program to touch it up. We’re looking for originality here so it doesn’t have to be a professional photo. It just has to be original and inventive.

SECOND PLACE will receive 1000 L CASH and a 1000 L gift card for Spork.

THIRD PLACE will receive 500 L CASH and a 1000 L gift card.

So grab your contest crate at the store right next to the contest poster, get Sporkified and start taking photos!

To enter, create a notecard and include your name and the location of your shoot. Include your full perm photo in the notecard (one photo per entry) and submit your entry to Barbara Nicholls. REMEMBER TO USE THE SPORK FROM YOUR CONTEST CRATE IN THE PHOTO!

The contest will run from February 1st to February 14th. No entries will be accepted after 8:00 pm on February 14th. Winners will be announced on Monday, February 16th.

We’re having a party! Our new store finally opened on the new LVS Drive (formerly Cassiopeia Isle). We’ve got some presents under the tree for all our friends, as well as two new releases: the Metro dress and Tango lashes.

Come now, or come later – we’re throwing a party tonight from 5-7pm SLT with DJ coloradocowboy Manen providing the entertainment.

Peace On Earth gridwide hunt is on!

Incredible. Over 350 shops are participating in this month-long hunt! We packed some goodies in the little globe and placed it on top of the glass wall at Spork (Twilight location). Grand Opening – update

Yay! We got a great new store just in time for the big opening, which will take place on 6 September, 2008 at 12 noon SLT. Disregard that earlier post that said Aug 30. The correct date is Sept 6. That’s the 6th of September. Got it?  :)

Oh, this just in…

The new store at the coffeehouse will be holding it’s own grand opening on Aug 30! I need to get with the program! We’ll have a DJ and dancing, and some cool bargains! The landmark will go out in a group announcement, and the slurl will be attached here soon.

The Sept 6 event will go on as planned, at the new large store. Details to follow.

Welcome to Spork!

My little store has been unofficially opened as of last night, and new items will be added in the upcoming weeks leading up to the big huge actual grand opening around the end of the month! So, why haven’t I set a date for the opening yet? Because I don’t have a calendar handy and…. oh, yeah, there’s a calendar in my little task bar. Okay, I guess I should set a date. Let’s call it August 30, 2008. September 6, 2008. Happy now? See? That wasn’t so hard.

So, go visit the store and buy stuff. Or if you are short on lindens, grab the little $1 gift box. It’s got stuff inside. Honest.
